Apologies:

3. Fees for practice sessions
The Committee recommend that these remain at £3 per session, to be paid termly.
Vote: Support Against Abstentions
4. Fees for Events:
The Committee recommend that the fee for Events remains at £250 for 1 hour or £350 for 1.5 hours, with van hire (where required) to be paid in addition.

5. Travel expenses for Events:
The Committee recommend that travel expenses to and from events be paid out of the £250 fee charged for events, at the Inland Revenue's suggested rate of 40p per mile. This is to be calculated from Great St Mary's Church, Cambridge. Vote on this as a general principle, with further details (e.g., upper and lower limits) to be discussed by the new Committee:
Vote: Support Against Abstentions
6. Constitution Changes:
The Constitution has been fully revised; a copy of the old and the new ones are enclosed.
Chair to highlight changes.
Vote: Support Against Abstentions
7. Termly Social:
In the light of extremely healthy funds and plentiful gigs, the Committee recommend that Panic hold a Social activity, once a term. This could be in the form of a meal out, or an activity such as bowling, with Panic funds paying for the activity or making a significant contribution. Ideas for activities should be put to the new Secretary or other Committee member.
8. Tuning:
In previous years, Panic have paid for Gerard's flight to the UK in order to tune our pans. The cost of tuning the Panic pans has worked out very similar to the cost of the flight, so he tunes them for free on the understanding that we arrange other work for him while he is here. Due to the favourable exchange rate, Gerard's rate for tuning is significantly lower than other London-based tuners. Individual members of Panic who own pans have had their tuning subsidised by 50%, this money coming out of any money leftover from the flight cost (as it were) and directly from Panic funds.
However, flight costs have increased significantly – this year, Gerard's flight was £670.90. Therefore, the Committee propose that, should we bring Gerard over again under the same arrangement, the cost of the flight should pay for not only the tuning of Panic pans (as before) but also all band members' pans.
Other alternatives would include seeking out a London-based tuner. However, Panic's previous tuner did not carry out a satisfactory job; another tuner Yasmin used when at Homerton carried out a very poor job for a very high price. There is also difficulty in finding a tuner happy to tune the old blue Invaders-style pans (their original maker, Mike Contant, died around 2000).
